BRYAN C. SMITH, MS, CSP
President, Principal Consultant
Bryan’s professional career began in 2006 after graduating from the University of Saint Francis with an environmental science degree. While gaining experience in industrial hygiene and safety at a local H&S consultancy, Bryan continued his education, receiving a master’s degree in environmental science in 2011.
In 2010, Bryan became a Qualified Inspector for Clandestine Drug Laboratories in Indiana, and was instrumental in the State Program’s expansion, technical direction and local implementation throughout the 2010s.
In 2023, Bryan became a Certified Safety Professional.
In 2024, Bryan realized that his next big adventure was to step out on his own and build a business focused on his client base. With that, ALPHA Health and Safety Solutions, LLC was born.
Bryan brings an authenticity to his profession that is difficult to match. His dedication to each individual project has resulted in clients following him for repeat services over the course of two decades.
Bryan has been married since 2006, with two young children and a family dog. In his time outside of managing ALPHA, Bryan likes to go for runs with his dog, play board games and enjoy the outdoors.
ANDREW W. BOESTER, CIH, CSP
VP of Industrial Hygiene and Safety
Andrew began his professional career in 2001 after completing studies in Industrial Hygiene at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Andrew quickly accelerated in his knowledge and skills, ultimately becoming a Certified Industrial Hygienist in 2007. He took the certification exam again in 2017, receiving 90% or better in a majority of the rubrics.
For 25 years, Andrew has served his clients through exemplary technical expertise, a customer-focused attitude, and a relentless drive for excellence. He has worked with hundreds of commercial, industrial, residential and governmental clients helping them to recognize and evaluate occupational hazards and to recommend controls for improving safety, health and quality of life for their employees.
Andrew also served as the Health and Safety Coordinator for a Tier III Automotive supplier from 2022-2025, helping them to reduce their Total Recordable Incident Rate from 2.75 in 2022 to zero in 2024. During his time, he focused on cultivating a World Class culture of Health and Safety at the company through training, coaching and a willingness to bring practical and timely approaches to issues, while also “digging deep” to find root causes and address them through systemic change. In 2023, Andrew also obtained his Certified Safety Professional designation. He has been an OSHA Authorized Trainer since 2018, an ISO 14001 auditor since 2011 and an ISO 45001 auditor since 2020.
Andrew has been happily married to his wife since 2002, and they have four college and high-school aged children. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys playing board games and disc golf when the weather is nice.
